Kids & Fishing is a California 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for school-age children to make positive changes in their lives while understanding the benefits of cleaner, healthier oceans. Through established thought-provoking educational opportunities and interactive coastal activities, Kids & Fishing exposes Los Angeles area children from underserved communities to the magnificence of marine life and the wonders of the ocean. Our goal is to produce conscientious citizens and reward them with memories that will last a lifetime.

Since 2004, Kids & Fishing has been an all-volunteer organization that has worked primarily with The Los Angeles Conservation Corps Clean & Green program and the SEA Lab to introduce our participants to the ocean that they have been working so hard to protect.

City 2 The Sea Kids & Fishing's newest program brings marine science to the classroom....and the classroom to the sea.

Our 1st group to complete the City2 the Sea program is Animo Charter Leadership High School in Inglewood, CA. Their lesson plan on Marine Pollution was shared and presented to thousands of their fellow students, students in other schools, and members of their communities through their dynamic Power Point presentation.
Program Kids & Fishing program consists of a series of innovative educational programs which are designed to create interactive, thought-provoking coastal activities that expose school-age children to the magnificence of marine life and the wonders of the Pacific Ocean. By completing a variety of activities, participants will be rewarded with an educational, fun day on the ocean.
Our Mission Kids & Fishing educates and expands young inspired minds from disadvantaged areas through marine awareness and by getting them involved with activities that clean-up the environment. We are working together with our educational partners to create great citizens and tomorrows stewards of the ocean.
